Russian armed forces have taken control of the settlement of Aleksandrograd in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
The agency makes a reservation that it cannot independently confirm this information.
The ministry indicated that in just one week, Russian forces have seized a total of seven settlements in Donetsk region, including Shcherbinovka, Yablonovka, Lunacharskoye, Suvorovo, Nikonorovka and Iskra.
The forces of the "Center" group of troops continue to advance in Ukraine's Dnepropetrovsk region, the ministry also said, quoted by TASS.
