General Sirsky in the strategic Donetsk region: We defend and liberate

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Sirsky made a working trip to units performing combat missions in the Donetsk region. He announced the results of the trip on Facebook.

''Hot'' directions

The Pokrovskoye, Dobropilskoye and Novopavlivskoye still remain the ''hot'' directions. The Russians are also increasing pressure in the northern part of the Donetsk region, in the Liman direction, the Ukrainian commander-in-chief is categorical.

"Our units are waging heavy defensive battles against the superior forces of the Russians, restraining their attacks and in places conducting active actions in response.

I held fruitful discussions with the commanders of brigades and corps in order to have the most detailed and objective information possible about the situation on the battlefield and at the management levels. Based on reports on the needs and problematic issues, I made the necessary decisions to strengthen the stability of the defense“, the message says.

"The Armed Forces are aware of their great mission and are capable of continuing to fulfill the tasks assigned to them. We are defending and liberating Ukrainian territory. The units in the Donetsk region are receiving comprehensive assistance and reinforcements for this“, emphasizes Sirsky.
