"California would not have had the Olympics if I hadn't sent the troops.
They did a fantastic job," the president commented, quoted by the AP.
He stressed that the US will become even safer thanks to his administration.
"Our country is in incredible shape. Our military is strong, powerful and respected," Trump said.
