More than 15,000 civilians have died and more than 34,000 people have been injured during the war in Ukraine, according to figures provided by Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, quoted by the BBC.

Around 237 civilian infrastructure sites have been destroyed or damaged, he said.

"Our duty as law enforcement officers is to properly document crimes and do everything possible to ensure that all war criminals are punished," Kravchenko said.

According to the latest data from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, since February 24, 2022, when Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine, 13,883 civilians in Ukraine were killed and 35,548 were injured as a result of military action.
