Sergey Ryabkov: Ukraine and Europe are sabotaging the agreements reached in Alaska between Russia and the US - 1

Moscow assumes that there will be no deviations from the agreements reached by the presidents of Russia and the US in Alaska, but Kiev and the EU are sabotaging the process. This was stated to journalists by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov, TASS news agency reported, quoted by Focus.

"We expect that the US administration will continue its efforts in accordance with the agreements and the basis that was created at the most important meeting of the presidents in Alaska. And we assume that there will be no deviations from these agreements. We expected that this would eventually be the perception of the situation in Kiev and in European capitals. But today there is open sabotage (against Russia), their actions cannot be described in any other way," he said today.

On August 15, a meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States was held at a military base in Alaska. In a statement to the press after the talks, Putin said that the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict was the main topic of the summit. The Russian leader also called for turning the page in bilateral relations and returning to cooperation, even inviting Trump to Moscow. For his part, the US president announced progress in the negotiations, but noted that the parties had not managed to reach an agreement on everything during the meeting.
