The Ukrainian Defense Forces have repelled Russian troops in two settlements in Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, reports the analytical portal DeepState.
According to the project, the Russians were repelled in Novoselyivka in the direction of Novopavlovsk. Ukrainian troops also advanced to Mirovo in Kharkiv region (in the direction of Kupyansk).
At the same time, Russian troops are advancing near Komishuvakha and Mirolyubivka in Donetsk region, DeepState writes.
In the morning update on August 30, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) reported 172 clashes on the front in the past 24 hours, 50 of them in the direction of Pokrovsk and 31 in Novopavlovsk.
On August 29, DeepState reported that Russian troops had advanced near Novoselivka in Dnipropetrovsk region.
It was previously reported that the Russian army had captured the villages of Zaporizhsko and Novogeorgievka in Dnipropetrovsk region.
The spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Tregubov, reported that Ukrainian troops had stopped the Russian offensive in Zaporizhzhia and Novogeorgievka on the administrative border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Russian troops are operating in both settlements, but have not yet established positions there.
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also wrote that it is too early to characterize this offensive as a breakthrough by the Russian Federation in the Dnipropetrovsk region, since it is a small-scale infiltration.
