The British newspaper Financial Times reported that alleged Russian interference led to interference in the GPS navigation of the plane of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen near Plovdiv yesterday, BTA reports.
Von der Leyen was on a visit to Bulgaria, where she visited the “Vazovsky Machine-Building Plants“ (VMZ) in Sopot together with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyakov.
Her tour of the region continues today, with Romania scheduled to be part of her visit to EU member states on NATO's eastern flank.
