Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico arrived today for a three-day visit to China, Slovak news agency TASR reported, BTA reports.
During his visit, Fico will take part in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and will hold several bilateral meetings.
“In China, Robert Fico will not only honor the memory of the victims of the military conflict, World War II, but will also use the visit to confirm joint economic projects and plans“, said a statement published on the Slovak leader's Facebook page.
Today, Fico is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and tomorrow he will honor the memory of the victims of World War II and lay a wreath at the monument to war heroes on “Tiananmen“ Square in Beijing.
“On Thursday, September 4, Robert Fico will talk with the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping“, the statement said.
