Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all Western troops deployed in Ukraine would be legitimate targets for Moscow. The comment was made after yesterday's meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, at which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that 26 countries were ready to send troops to Ukraine as security guarantees, reports “Reuters“, quoted by News.bg.
“If any troops appear in Ukraine, especially during military operations, we proceed from the fact that these will be legitimate targets for destruction,“ Putin stressed. He added that when making decisions about long-term peace, he sees no point in their presence on Ukrainian territory.
Regarding a possible meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, the Russian president indicated that Moscow is the most suitable place for such negotiations. Putin assured that Russia is ready to guarantee 100% security for Zelensky and representatives of Kiev if they decide to visit the Russian capital for talks on a peace agreement.
