Fashion designer Giorgio Armani will be buried in a family crypt next to his parents and brother in the small village of Rivalta near Piacenza, reports the newspaper La Repubblica, citing the local association.
Rivalta is a small town with a few dozen inhabitants, known for its medieval castle, a local landmark. The fashion designer spent his childhood there and visited the graves of his relatives there. As indicated, he chose the burial site himself.
In Milan, in the exhibition space of the Armani house, the farewell to the fashion designer, who died on September 4 at the age of 92, continues. The funeral will take place on September 8, at his request - privately, with no more than 20 of his closest people. Milan and Piacenza declared a state of mourning following Armani's death.
