Many Americans believe that US President Donald Trump's approach to the war in Ukraine does not contribute to its resolution. This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by the CBS television channel in conjunction with the YouGov research service.
According to these data, 27% of respondents said that the approach of the head of the Washington administration to the conflict will allow for a “peaceful settlement“. 43% believe that the actions of the American leader contribute to the continuation of hostilities. 30% believe that Trump's steps have no impact on the conflict.
Overall, 44% of respondents rated Trump's work as president positively, 56% - negatively. 38% support the introduction of new tariffs on products from other countries by the American leader, 62% are against. 71% believe that this will lead to higher prices in the United States in the short term.
43% of survey participants believe that the transfer of National Guard fighters to Washington by the Trump administration to fight crime is the right step. 57% of respondents are of the opposite opinion. 42% note that the same measures should be taken in other American cities, 58% are against.
