Earlier, the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Georgia said that at least 475 people were detained during the raid on the Hyundai battery plant in the state. As Yonhap reported, citing diplomatic sources, at least 300 of those detained are South Korean citizens.
Later, the chief of staff of the South Korean president said that Seoul has reached an agreement with Washington to return the detained South Korean citizens to their homeland.
