Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the Order of Courage to the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov.
In this regard, the head of state signed the corresponding decree.
“For courage, bravery and selflessness shown in the performance of military duty, I award Army General Valery Vasilyevich Gerasimov with the Order of Courage“, the document says.
Gerasimov turned 70 on September 8.
