The number of asylum applications from Ukrainians in the EU in the first half of 2025 has increased and reached a record high since 2023, according to data published by the European Asylum Agency.
“Ukrainians continue to file more and more asylum applications - about 16,000 or 29% more than in the same period in 2024“, the agency said in its report. It is noted that almost half of all applications are from France, and a third - from Poland.
According to the information, the number of applications from Ukrainians in the first half of 2025 has reached a record high since 2023 - 15,172 thousand. More applications were submitted only in 2022 - 28,327 thousand.
