Republican Congressman, member of the US House of Representatives Committee on Armed Services Joe Wilson said that the Russian drone attack on Poland is an occasion for the Donald Trump administration to immediately impose strict sanctions against the Kremlin and strengthen military support for Ukraine, UNIAN reports.
On the social network X, Wilson called the incident “a direct attack on a NATO ally“.
"Russia attacked NATO ally Poland with Iranian drones less than a week after President Trump received President (of Poland) Karol Nawrotski at the White House. This is an act of war, and we are grateful to our NATO allies for their swift response to the ongoing unprovoked aggression of the war criminal Putin against free and hardworking peoples,” he wrote.
Wilson called on the Trump administration to adopt sanctions capable of crippling the Russian military machine, as well as to provide Ukraine with modern weapons to strike at Russian territory.

“Putin is no longer content with defeat in Ukraine, bombing mothers and babies, now he is directly testing our resolve on NATO territory. Putin declares that “Russia knows no borders.” Free and prosperous nations will teach Russia what borders are,” the congressman emphasized.
