US President Donald Trump said today that the suspect in Charlie Kirk's murder has been captured, the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.
"With a high degree of certainty, we have him", Trump said in a live interview on "Fox News".
Trump added that a pastor who also had connections to law enforcement turned the suspect over to authorities.
"Someone who was very close to him said, "Hmm, that's him", Trump also said.
Charlie Kirk was killed in a single shooting on Wednesday, which police described as a targeted attack and the governor of Utah called it a political assassination. Kirk co-founded the political non-profit organization "Turning Point USA" and was a close ally of Trump.
