New list of the 10 most unreliable cars

The study was conducted by WhatCar

British automotive publication WhatCar has published its annual list of the most unreliable cars, based on a large-scale consumer survey. The results are surprising and call into question the reputation of some of the most popular models on the market.

Problem Leader: Nissan Juke

According to the study, the current generation Nissan Juke crossover has been named the most problematic car. Its reliability rating is only 55.2% - the lowest among all vehicles this year. Juke owners most often report problems related to the battery, engine and braking system.

Immediately after the Nissan Juke are two popular models from European and Korean manufacturers. In second place in the anti-rating is the Volkswagen Tiguan of the latest generation. Its reliability rating reaches 64.2%. The most common complaints are related to the infotainment system, brakes and the car's electronics.

Third place is taken by the Kia Sportage of the previous generation, with a reliability rating of 72.9%. In this case, owners are most often faced with serious damage to the engine, gearbox and brake system.

WhatCar's list includes seven more models that struggle with serious reliability problems. Here are the ones that complete the top 10 of the most unreliable cars:

Mazda CX-60
Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Volvo S90
Audi Q7
Volkswagen ID 4
Hyundai Ioniq Electric
Renault Austral

Outside the main list, but equally disturbing, are the data for Toyota. A previous study named the Toyota GR Supra as the Japanese brand's most problematic sports model in the past 20 years, with frequent problems with the brake assist system and seat belt tensioners.

Among the new models, the electric Toyota bZ4X was also named the least reliable, with the most serious problem owners faced being related to the quality of the hub bolts.

This data serves as an important signal for both consumers and manufacturers. Reliability continues to be a key factor when buying a car, and a high sales rating does not always guarantee trouble-free driving.
