The American company Apple has achieved record iPhone exports from India in the last six months, reports The Economic Times, citing its sources.

According to their data, Apple exported a record iPhones from India worth 10 billion USD between April and September. During the same period a year earlier, Apple exported iPhones worth 5.71 billion USD.

Only in September - traditionally a slow period for sales, when consumers wait for new models - shipments amounted to 1.25 billion USD, which is 155% more than the target for 2024. The publication emphasizes that this happened despite the huge domestic demand for the new iPhone 17 series, which is supplied from India.

Apple plans to move 25% of its iPhone production to India by 2025. The South Asian republic is the second largest production base of the American manufacturer, accounting for 15% of smartphone assembly.
