Rumen Hristov: There is fuel, price increases - no

Regarding the proposal for BEH to buy "Lukoil", he pointed out: "In my opinion, this will be difficult, because I do not know to what extent their financial situation would allow this"

Our actions on the topic of "Lukoil" are not chaotic. The time we have after the sanctions were imposed is very short, but we had to react. There was a process of unifying positions, but it was decided that the figure of the special manager could inspire confidence in those who imposed sanctions. Therefore, we took action to introduce a special manager, expanding his functions - to conduct negotiations for a possible sale.

This was stated by the deputy chairman of the GERB-SDF PG Rumen Hristov in the program "The Day Begins" on BNT.

"There will be no nationalization. If the company is sold, the funds will go to a Bulgarian bank. They cannot be used for other purposes. And when the sanctions and the war end, they will be paid to the owner. In my opinion, given the danger of stopping the work of "Neftochim Burgas", it is probably worth the risk to make sure that the enterprise continues to operate," explained Hristov.

Rumen Hristov reassured that there is fuel. "There will be no increase in fuel prices, in the sense that is explained and they scare us. We have reserves. And oil prices worldwide are currently at a low level," he further specified.
