The Sofia Municipal Council will vote today on new prices for the blue and green zones for paid parking in Sofia.
Mayor Vasil Terziev proposes that instead of 2 leva per hour in the blue zone, the price should double - to 4 leva per hour. And in the green zone, instead of 1 lev per hour, parking will now cost 2 levs.
The price for an annual vignette sticker for the first car in the green zone will be 200 levs, for a second car - 400 levs, and for the blue zone - 300 and 600 levs, respectively.
The official subscription fee in the blue zone will be 1300 levs, 900 levs - in the green zone.
Electric cars will pay for themselves from 2027, now their owners park for free.
In addition, the Sofia Municipal Council will vote at today's meeting to increase the capacity of the Sofia Waste Treatment Plant.
Mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev is submitting a new management structure for voting in the Sofia Municipal Council, without expanding the number of employees of the administration.
It is planned to have two new deputy mayors - for urban planning and for security. The "healthcare" department will be subordinated to the deputy mayor for social activities, and not, as before, to the deputy mayor for finance.
