The deputies of ''Velichye'' will no longer enter the hall of the National Assembly

We are not giving up our functions as members of parliament - on the contrary. We will work systematically as an opposition

"Our presence in the hall is becoming redundant. By standing inside and voting in any way, we are giving formality to a mafia parliament. For this reason, we choose not to stand inside, in the hall of the National Assembly (NA)."

This was stated by the leader of the parliamentary group of "Velichye" Ivelin Mihaylov, quoted by news.bg. In a video statement recorded at the briefing rostrum in the NA, Mihaylov explains why the formation is not in the hall today. In his words, "Velichye" refuses to "legitimize an illegitimate government that only seeks to deceive the Bulgarian people".

"We are not giving up our functions as members of parliament - on the contrary. We will work systematically as an opposition. They wonder why the opposition is not doing its job. The role of the opposition is to make this government more humane. People wonder what happens to everyone when they enter the National Assembly and they all become the same. The truth is that all these people are projects", said Ivelin Mihaylov.

According to him, a circus is going on in the parliament that imitates a trial between the ruling party and the opposition. He claims that yesterday he spoke with "a person close to GERB", from whom he learned that Boyko Borisov would send someone to negotiate with Russia. Mihaylov made a connection with the fact that "Vazrazhdane" sends its delegation to Russia.

"We see an agreement between MECH and "Vazrazhdane". We managed to unite them, they are acting in sync at the moment", said Ivelin Mihaylov regarding MECH's accusations that their MP forged signatures and falsified declarations for participation in parliamentary elections.

We recall that yesterday MECH leader Radostin Vassilev released a recording from the parliamentary rostrum in which it is alleged that "Velichy" MP Stiliana Bobcheva tells a candidate MP of the party how she will "imitate Mimeto" (former MP Maria Ilieva) by signing her name several times.

Ivelin Mihaylov said that the only way "Velichy" to become "acceptable to the ruling party, is to enter into an agreement with them": "This is not the agreement we have with our voters - we have a promise to fight these people, not to go and kneel before them. Therefore, we will fulfill our agreement with the voters and will not sit in parliament."

It is striking that at the peculiar briefing of "Velichy", Stiliana Bobcheva, who was accused of forging signatures, was absent.
