The payment of pensions in December this year through post offices will begin on December 5 (Friday) and will end on December 19 (Friday), dariknews.bg reported.
The transfers of the amounts for December pensions to the accounts of pensioners who receive their money by bank transfer will be made on December 5, 2025.
The dates for the payment of pensions will be exceptional, since by decision of the Council of Ministers of November 19 this year. The days of December 31, 2025 and January 2, 2026 have been declared non-working days once, which reduces the technological time for completing the procedure for making and counting pension payments before the end of the year.
Along with the pensions for December, all eligible persons will also be paid the Christmas supplements in the amount of BGN 120, adopted by a decree of the Council of Ministers.
The lump sum to the pensions will be received by pensioners whose pension or the sum of the pensions, together with the supplements and compensations to them for December 2025, is up to BGN 638 inclusive. About 536 thousand people are entitled to this supplement.
The date for payment of unemployment benefits this month is December 15 (Monday).
