On January 23, Friday, at 10:00 a.m., the Constitutional Court will hold a hearing on constitutional case No. 3/2026 regarding the resignation of President Rumen Radev. This was reported by the press center of the Constitutional Court, quoted by Nova TV.
The rapporteur for the case is Judge Pavlina Panova.
Rumen Radev submitted his resignation to the Constitutional Court yesterday, "Focus" recalls.
Once the resignation of the head of state is confirmed, Vice President Iliana Yotova will serve as president until the end of the term - January 21, 2027.
She will continue the procedure with the formation of a caretaker government and the scheduling of parliamentary elections.
