3 murders and 3 suicides - this is what lies behind the "Petrohan" case, says criminal psychologist Todor Todorov. According to him, it is possible that one of the men in the hut was also killed.
Today, acting Interior Minister Emil Dechev met with investigators on the case.
“A serious criminal offense, the basis of which is one person“ - this is how criminal psychologist Todor Todorov described what happened. Todorov and his team are familiar with the case in detail. In his words, it is three murders and three suicides.
The official version so far states that all three men committed suicide in the hut. In information published on the official website of the prosecutor's office, however, only for Decho it is explicitly emphasized that the gunshot wound may have been caused – I quote – „and with his own hand“.
In all cases, however, the criminal psychologist is categorical – there was no external intervention.
According to Todorov, one of the main mistakes of the investigators is that they allowed Deyan Iliev – the man who first discovered Petrohan's bodies, to leave Bulgaria.
Acting Interior Minister Emil Dechev also held a meeting with the investigative team. He stated:
“I have in no way interfered and will not interfere in which evidence you credit, which versions you support or exclude. I expect you to conduct a full, comprehensive and objective investigation into the two pre-trial proceedings and to succeed in revealing the objective truth.“
We sought comment from both the Ministry of Interior and the Prosecutor's Office with questions about whether there is evidence that a murder was committed in the hut, whether the expert examination, which should establish the day of death of Kalushev, Nikolay and Alexander, is ready, and whether the phone of the main witness Deyan Iliev has already been unlocked. So far, there has been no response.
