Krum Zarkov is following the events and without the opportunity to influence those who voted today to reject the president's veto. There was such a split in voting in the DPS and we saw what happened. Whether the BSP will end up with a new left-wing party and whether there is a field for one remains to be seen. In my opinion, there is really a need for a young, modern left-wing party. These 8 people (Atanas Zafirov, Dragomir Stoynev, Kiril Dobrev, Maya Dimitrova, Deyan Dechev, Petar Kanev, Borislav Gutsanov and Ivan Ivanov - ed.) voted like this because they were clear that they would not make it to the next parliament anyway.
This was said in the program "The Day Live" on NOVA NEWS by political scientist Prof. Rosen Stoyanov - director of "Political Analyses and Forecasts" at "Gallup", who commented on the rejection of President Yotova's veto on the changes to the Electoral Code, quoted by novini.bg.
"For me, the number of sections abroad should be done by mathematicians and analysts who can easily and calmly calculate how many sections will be needed for which country. This should not be done through politicking in parliament. Regarding the "Petrohan" case, when there is an information vacuum on the part of the institutions, it is immediately filled by all sorts of hybrids, legends and Facebook posts. If Rumen Radev had said in his capacity as a military man that Crimea is Russian, perhaps we would have understood him. When he did it in his capacity as president of an EU and NATO member state, it was an institutional blunder," commented Prof. Stoyanov.
