The people give you not power, but governance. If they are not satisfied, you resign and go to new elections. The model, the assembly does not work as society expects. Now we have 100% PP-DB governance. It is not coping and people see it, Borisov added.
"In 2020, they went too far with the compromising materials. 2025, when the minority government with the party supporting it began to they overreacted - the situation heated up and people came out. Initially it was about the budget. Now we don't have a budget and they are asking for an extended budget. We asked them for 20 days to fix the budget. They said immediately. Immediately there were elections at the end of April", the GERB leader also said.
For the important things - the eurozone, Schengen, Peevski supported me. And I can thank him, Boyko Borisov pointed out "The "Borisov - Peevski" model got Bulgaria into Schengen and the eurozone in one year. The "Borisov - Assen Vassilev" model changed the Constitution. The house book was supposed to serve the assembly for at least 10 years. There was no thought of going to elections with a caretaker government, that's why we created this cacophony", Borisov added.
