A bomb alert forced an emergency evacuation of the "Courthouse of Justice" in Sofia this morning. Police, fire and ambulance teams immediately arrived on the scene and safely evacuated all employees and visitors from the building, BGNES reported.
At the moment, the area around the institution is completely blocked. Law enforcement agencies are conducting a thorough inspection of all halls and corridors in the courthouse for the presence of suspicious or dangerous objects. According to initial information, the anonymous call was received earlier today, which triggered the mandatory rapid response protocol of the security services.
This is not the first such incident this week. Just two days ago, an identical alert was filed, which also blocked the work of the magistrates. No explosive device was found during the previous inspection, but security rules require the complete evacuation of the site with each call. The normal rhythm of work in the institution will be restored only after the full conclusion of today's police operation.
