The first meeting of the Central Election Commission begins today, at which information about the beginning of election day will be provided. In Bulgaria, people vote in over 12,000 polling stations, and in more than 9,000 voting can also be done by machine.

The CEC reminds that it is important for the machines to be plugged into the electrical network and that in a situation where the battery is dead and the machine is not plugged into the network, it cannot be required to switch to voting only with paper ballots, Rositsa Mateva told the Bulgarian National Radio, quoted by BGNES:

"Only when there is some reason why the machine is not working and the technician of "Siela" cannot eliminate it, then the Regional Election Commission, based on documents sent by the section election commission, which describe the reason, will make a decision to suspend machine voting and continue voting in this section with paper ballots".

On the CEC website, people can find an interactive map with the addresses of polling stations in Bulgaria and abroad, as well as telephone numbers to which signals about irregularities on election day can be submitted.
