Key week for pensioners. Despite the election campaign – MPs are meeting in an extraordinary session on Tuesday. The request for it came because of doubts among some politicians that pensions will be updated by 10, not 11%, NOVA reported.
However, the Supervisory Board of NOI met at the beginning of the week and decided that from July 1, pensions will be updated with the higher percentage – or 11 percent. Thus, some political forces believe that the gathering of the parliament is already meaningless and the parliamentary rostrum will be used for pre-election purposes. According to the rules, however, as soon as the required number of signatures has been submitted, the meeting must be convened. And the deputies' agenda includes a hearing of acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.
