A scientific forum in the capital discusses the decarbonization process

The organizing committee includes leading scientists with proven experience in the energy sector from the USA, Italy, Japan, Sweden and Bulgaria

On June 6, Thursday, the Research Center for Energy Business and Infrastructure of UNSS together with the Marche Polytechnic University, Italy, Kyoto University, Japan, and the Decarbonization Research Center of Sonotech Group, Germany, organize an international scientific forum "The role of energy communities in the decarbonization process".

The event will be opened by Georgi Samandov, Deputy Minister of Energy, Prof. Brian Wilson, Director of the Colorado CSU Energy Institute, and Alexander Zahariev, Director of Strategic Development of Sunotech Group. It is expected that during the forum a critical focus will be placed on the problems related to the implementation of the concept of energy communities of a technical and administrative-legal nature.

In the framework of the forum, approaches to overcome them will also be presented. The economic benefits of large-scale development of the vision for energy communities between municipalities, condominiums, small businesses and electric mobility charging infrastructure will be analyzed on a proof of concept basis.
