The dismissed head of the State Aviation Squad: They waited for me, handed me the order and it was over

After the first two cases, Minister Gvozdeikov called me and said: "I don't know what you have been doing, but I have to replace you. I can leave you as a pilot, decide what you want. I asked for time to think"

I can't tell the reason for being released. They waited for me, handed me the order and it was over. The reason is that I have acquired the right to a pension. This was stated by Gen. Zlatko Zlatev in the show "This Morning" on bTV.

Gen. Zlatev explained that two weeks before the flight, for which he is accused of flying without a business trip, there was a plan for 2 flights - the president with "Airbus" and half an hour before that - the prime minister with "Falcon".

"I met Prime Minister Glavchev, they started taxiing. I also went to meet the President who was coming. In the VIP lounge I was told that "The Falcon" comes back and I'm out. It turned out that there is a defect, a failure that goes out in the plane. For safety reasons, the pilots returned to inspect the damage. "No one will risk flying if the president or the prime minister is on board and there is a defect," explained Zlatev.

In his words, the problem is related to the failure of a hydraulic part - the pump of the plane's engine. "There was a similar problem in Varna and the plane had to stay there for 3 weeks until the part in question was found. In another country, such a problem would complicate logistics and make the process more expensive. This flight was completed, the next day the prime minister returned, and an investigation into what caused the problem began, he added.

Then we took an "Airbus" - first we took the prime minister to Switzerland, he returned empty and took the president to Podgorica. Then he went empty-handed to Zurich to pick up the prime minister and take him to Brussels. Then he came back empty to pick up the president and bring him back, added Gen. Zlatev.

He specified that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wanted to provide a plane to transport two deputy ministers.

After the first two cases, Minister Gvozdeikov called me and said: "I don't know what you have been doing, but I have to replace you. I can leave you as a pilot, decide what you want. I asked for time to think. Then he told me that he spoke to the Prime Minister and things settled down. After the flight to this country, a commission was waiting for me, Deputy Minister Natova with two other people, and they handed me the order," Zlatev said.

He explained that he called Minister Gvozdeikov, but did not return his call.
