“Revival“ requested in a statement that the Bulgarian state provide a lawyer for Milan Dimitrov, who was extradited to the USA a few days ago. We have a hostage in the United States. The hostage's name is Milan Dimitrov. $150,000 is needed for an American lawyer for the Bulgarian.

The declaration was read by the chairman of the party Kostadin Kostadinov from the rostrum of the National Assembly.

He reported that they have already found a lawyer for Milan Dimitrov in San Antonio, Texas, but legal services there are not cheap. The leader of “Revival“ pointed out that the amount requested by the lawyer is 150 thousand dollars, and Milan Dimitrov's family does not have such funds.

“Today we will send an official letter to the Prime Minister and we will ask him to find out within 24 hours whether our country will find 150 thousand dollars to provide a lawyer for its hostage or not,” said Kostadin Kostadinov .

If we do not have an answer within 24 hours, we will start a campaign to collect these funds, he added.

In fact, in the next 24 hours, our country has a test it must pass, commented Kostadinov. There is a test of humanity, there is a test of integrity, there is even a test of Bulgarian, if you will, he pointed out. In his words, "in the next 24 hours, he will find out for himself whether Bulgaria is a Bulgarian state or an American colony". According to Kostadinov, if the Bulgarian state does not provide a lawyer for Milan Dimitrov, it means that we do not have a state.

"We have a hostage in the United States. The hostage's name is Milan Dimitrov," said the leader of "Vazrazhdane". His fault, according to the American prosecutor, is that he had commercial relations with Russia, Kostadinov pointed out. Our compatriot is currently becoming a scapegoat for the carelessness of two consecutive Bulgarian governments, he also believes.

“Revival“ is starting a campaign with which it will try to do everything necessary to inform the international community about the violation of basic human rights in the case of Milan Dimitrov, announced Kostadinov. We have prepared letters that will be sent today to all the embassies of our so-called allies in the EU and in NATO.

We will also get to know absolutely all international institutions that take care of the observance of human rights, he added.
