The cabinet approved 1,455,680 BGN for compensation of the families whose children are not admitted to state or municipal kindergartens due to a lack of free places. The funds are provided for 1464 children from the Municipality of Sofia and for 7 from the Municipality of Plovdiv.
Compensations are paid for the period May 1 - June 30 and will be transferred to the budgets of the respective municipalities. The funds are provided over a period of two months to ensure timely support for parents.
The state compensates families of children from the age of 3 until they enter first grade who are not admitted to a state or municipal kindergarten or school due to a lack of places.
