NRA and DANS start inspection of the buffer parking lots at the borders

As of today, the NRA and DANS will start an inspection in connection with the problem of the buffer parking lots for heavy goods vehicles. Due to the tension at the borders, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev convened an emergency meeting in the Council of Ministers and ordered inspections in order to clarify the situation in a short period of time and to take measures so that crossing the border would be normalized.

In the course of the discussion, the importance of the buffer parking lots for easing the traffic around the border crossing points was highlighted. At the same time, however, additional steps are needed in places so as to reduce the waiting time for HGVs and to prevent attempts to disrupt the order of passage.

Deputy Minister of Transport Dimitar Nedyalkov noted that there were similar problems near Vidin near Ruse. However, a solution has been found in Rousse and in a short period of time a way will be sought to apply this model to “Danube Bridge 2”. For this purpose, the ministry, with the assistance of the regional governor of Vidin, will hold an urgent conversation with the local authorities and with the company that manages the parking lot near Vidin.
