"BSP - united left" is the name of the large left coalition, an agreement for the creation of which was signed today by the BSP and nearly 20 other formations , novini.bg reports.

There is no way to have a strong and stable country without a strong left unity, the leader of the BSP Youth Union, Gabriel Valkov, opened the meeting. In times of division, the left comes together to end the political divide, he said.
On the eve of the Bulgarian Unification, there is a special symbolism and charge in the fact that we are doing the Unification of the Bulgarian Left, announced the temporary chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov. We have come a long and hard way, despite our differences over the years, we are like-minded here, and we have always strived for this moment. In politics there is no place for I, but for We. And today we show that we can turn this into a motive for change. And I am happy that this togetherness from Buzludzha led to today and the signing of this agreement. It will not only guarantee our participation in the elections and a good result, but also a request to win these elections because we want to give the Bulgarians an alternative, Zafirov also announced. And he defined the coalition as a historical moment, because it is not just a sum of parties and percentages, but a sum of ideas.

We will be hindered and sabotaged, but we are not easily frightened. It will be difficult, but they will not succeed. For two reasons - first, because we are greatly underestimated. And secondly, because our ally here are the Bulgarian citizens who want a real alternative, added the temporary chairman of the BSP.
The process of creating the left coalition began immediately after the resignation of Cornelia Ninova and after the temporary leadership took over the BSP. In recent weeks, 10 working groups prepared the election platform.

The union includes ABV, "Bulgarian Social Democracy - Euroleft" of Alexander Tomov, "Movement 21" by Tatiana Doncheva, "Bulgarian Spring" of Velizar Enchev, "Movement for Social Humanism", "Stand Up, Bulgaria" of Maya Manolova, PC "Ecoglasnost", PC " Thrace", the Communist Party of Alexander Paunov, "European Security and Integration" of Toma Tomov, "Union of the Fatherland", "European Security and Integration" etc.

Toma Tomov set the goal of the left unification - at least 30 mandates.

We are coming together, but we realize that the return of trust will not happen automatically. And it will happen when we manage to get the people's agenda into the institutions and normalcy returns to political life, said Maya Manolova. And he announced that it is their responsibility to seek solutions to people's problems in conversation with other political forces.

"We must propose a Non-Aggression Pact and national agreement on several topics important to citizens. One of them should be the social tolerability of life in Bulgaria," added Manolova. And to look for guarantees that Bulgaria will not move at two speeds.

"We must raise the important topics and seek agreement with the other political forces. It's time for a dialogue," concluded Manolova.
