The 49-year-old resident of the village of Portitovtsi had to testify in connection with a scandal in which he participated. After his arrival in a private car, however, officers noticed that he had consumed alcohol.
The sample taken recorded 1.97 parts per million of alcohol. The man was arrested and his car was seized.
Expedited proceedings have been initiated on the case.
