Traffic on the "Struma" highway is limited in the area of the road junction "Dolna Dikanya" in the direction of Sofia after a serious traffic accident with a fatality, the "Road Infrastructure" Agency reported.

The incident occurred around 08:00 when a car driven by a hired driver and carrying two Russian citizens from Bansko to Sofia airport hit a cargo truck at high speed.

A woman - a Russian citizen - died in the collision. The other passenger - a man, also a Russian citizen - was injured. The driver of the car was uninjured. His drug test gave a positive result.
