Vice President Iliana Yotova congratulated the coordination center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) for the evacuation of Bulgarians from Israel, reports BTA. Speaking to journalists in the resort of St. Vlas, where she participated in an event on the symbolic handover of the presidency of the Council of the European Union from Poland to Denmark, Yotova added that unlike many countries with much more serious traditions in the EU, they did a brilliant job and managed to bring out not only the film crew that was there on a visit, but also other citizens, some of whom are not Bulgarians.
The Vice President also noted that in Israel there are many people with dual citizenship and Bulgarian documents, so if there are still those who want to leave the country, they will also seek the assistance of our embassy and our institutions. "Let's let the people from the Foreign Ministry do their job, because they are extremely good diplomats and have shown that they can have good results," said Iliana Yotova.
When asked whether it is not time to convene the National Security Advisory Council due to the situation in the Middle East, Yotova replied that the president will decide this according to the situation. I assure you that he, as well as our entire team, is very carefully monitoring all the events that are taking place, the vice president added.
