Maya Manolova after the election of the Ombudsman: Today the 13 votes of the BSP were decisive

In her words, the potential result of the second round of the election of the Ombudsman "obviously scared them, because the entire opposition declared its readiness in a runoff to unite against the person of GERB and MRF-NN"

Today the 13 votes of the BSP were decisive for the election of the candidate for Ombudsman of GERB, MRF-New Beginning and ITN in the first round. Without their 13 votes, there would have been a runoff between me and Velislava Delcheva. This was commented by Maya Manolova after today's vote in the National Assembly for a new Ombudsman of the Republic in a post on Facebook.

According to her, the potential result of the second round of the election of the Ombudsman "obviously scared them, because the entire opposition declared its readiness to unite in a runoff against the man of GERB and MPS-NN".

"I continue to do what I have been doing so far - to protect the citizens from the government, and not the government from the citizens", Manolova wrote.

"Which of the two the new Ombudsman will do remains to be seen. But the party support clearly outlines the route. The parties once again stood against the interests of the citizens. But this will also end someday,", she concluded her comment.
