Kostadinov: We cannot have no highways, but make people return to the 18th century

The “Ombudsman” institution is absolutely unnecessary, since it spends 10 million leva annually, and there are almost no results from it. Today it was clear that Delcheva will be elected. There are institutions in Bulgaria that are emptied of content and serve as a convenient political haven for political pensioners or our people, who from time to time can be activated like bats. This was stated by the leader of “Vazrazhdane” Kostadin Kostadinov in the program “More from the Day” on BNT.

Today we from “Vazrazhdane” we were the only ones leading the debates in the hall, because no one else joined in, he explained.

The leader of “Vazrazhdane” argues why they are filing a complaint with the Constitutional Court against the changes in the Road Traffic Act. “Every week I travel 1,500 kilometers, because I am a deputy from Varna and I am obliged to be in my district. There are old cars, trucks, carts, combines on the roads - you can't, even if you want to, drive faster than 55 kilometers per hour. 8:12 a.m. is the road from Varna to Sofia without stopping, observing all signs. Speed has long been banned. For the most part, people respect the limits, so do I. If we think that violations occur only and solely because of high speed - we are very mistaken. The first thing we need to do is build a completely new road network in the country, because we are the most backward country in the EU”.

“We cannot have no highways, but make people go back to the 18th century”, Kostadinov is categorical.

“The fines have become absurdly banal. If you commit three violations – your license is taken away. We will reach a situation in which people who drive a car for 2,000 leva will have to pay a fine for 3,000 leva”, pointed out the leader of “Vazrazhdane”.

Kostadinov also said that he hopes that we will soon go to early elections.
