The changes to the Euro Law adopted by the National Assembly today have created more chaos and tension than a solution. I doubt that these changes will control prices and inflation. The real, positive effect, if any, will be negligible. This was stated on Nova News by PP-DB MP Lyudmila Ilieva regarding the bill adopted today, concerning prices before and after the adoption of the euro in our country, quoted by novini.bg.
According to Ilieva, the changes in the law are mostly introducing tension and uncertainty among representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, instead of seeking a real solution to the problem.
The market must self-regulate, artificial price restrictions cannot be created. In this way, the foundation of the market economy is distorted. Today, we closed the door to the market economy. I do not believe that this will stop the rise in prices. This law in this form creates more problems than it provides solutions, Ilieva explained.
Regarding the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the PP-DB MP stated that the bill to close the body is another example of a bill written in a hurry and “on the knee“.
“Once again we will have an inappropriate way in which laws are adopted in the country. Once again we will have a sharp intervention in socio-political life, which will not be fully evaluated. The ACC has become a bat that hits precisely defined individuals. In its current form, it does not fight corruption at the highest levels of power“, she commented.
According to her, it is high time in Bulgaria to end the practice of selectively applying laws and added that some of the powers of the CPC must be taken away.
What we insist on is to have a reformed judicial system, in which sentences are based on facts and evidence, Ilieva also said.
When asked about the vote of no confidence, she emphasized that the PP-DB will submit it after the end of the deputies' vacation.
“We have held talks with representatives of MECH, but the topic itself will be clarified by the PP-DB“, specified Lyudmila Ilieva.
