I learned from the media that the Court of Auditors will inspect the Ministry of Environment and Water. This was stated in the studio of “Crossroads” by the Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov, who emphasized that he has not yet received an order from the chairman of the institution on the nature of the inspections.
“I made a reference and found out that the period January-December 2025 will be inspected, and it is still July”, he added.
The Minister of Environment stressed that he has no concerns regarding water management. “The Ministry of Environment and Water in this mandate and in this government is working perfectly. The Court of Auditors can blame the Almighty for the water shortage,” Genov said.
The number of settlements without water and on a regime is increasing, and people's patience is running out. We recall that due to the scale of the problem, the Court of Auditors announced that they are inspecting the ministries responsible for water supply and management of water resources and infrastructure - the Ministry of Environment and Water and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
„All 51 significant complex dams that we monitor are in good condition. Drinking and domestic water supply is always a priority in water management. According to the National Institute of Hydrology and Hydrology, drinking and domestic dams are 67 and 46% full,” Genov assured. He called on people to save water at home.
The Minister of Environment and Waters gave an Excellent 6- rating to the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov.
