The fires in the country do not stop. There have been many deliberate ones - the park and the Military School in Tarnovo, Ruse, Teteven, Haskovo, Tervel.... Every other day someone sets something on fire. There are also many adults who think that they are cleaning up. We cannot judge them. But the others are dangerous. The opinion is already prevailing in the country that many of the fires are caused by mafia structures that use the season and natural fires as a smokescreen for schemes in at least three directions. This is what Kaloyan Metodiev writes on Facebook and adds:
One is arson to clear fertile land for photovoltaics. The second is the timber mafia, which then, when clearing burned forests, cuts down and takes out our wood in droves. The third is the burning of buildings to free up land for the construction of new ones. Separately, information has emerged that the large fires near Slivnitsa started from the military training ground. All of the above is worrying and criminal. And it destroys the little trust left in the state.
Every deliberate fire has a name and address. It also has a motive. Here, the role of those in power, if they are not accomplices, is to bring the entire state machine down on these groups. As a priority and immediately. Human lives, health and property are at stake. From the ashes after every large fire, floods, droughts, landslides, disturbed animal habitats and entire ecosystems follow.
