A gas cylinder leak caused an explosion in an apartment in Plovdiv, BNT reported. The incident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on the fifth floor of "Mladezhka" Street, the Regional Directorate for "Fire Safety and Population Protection" reported.
The fire brigade team that arrived on the scene quickly extinguished the flames, and the owner of the apartment - an 80-year-old woman - was slightly injured and sent for examination to the hospital, due to the danger of inhaled hot gases.
No other apartments in the block were affected by the incident. The window frames of the victim's home were broken.
