Emanuil Yordanov: At this moment I see no reason for anyone from the Ministry of Interior to resign

I think we should have a full clarification of the factual situation in the case, after which it should be assessed what measures should be taken

"At this moment I see no reason for anyone from the Ministry of Interior to resign". This was emphasized to the Bulgarian National Radio by Emanuil Yordanov - lawyer and former Minister of Interior:

"I think we should have a full clarification of the factual situation in the case, after which it should be assessed what measures should be taken. At the beginning it seems to me that there was some attempt to conceal the truth and this is expressed in the fact that as far as I remember it was not known that two patrol cars were immediately sent to the scene. The events at the intersection may not be part of the bulletin, due to the fact that at that moment apparently no one was aware of the nature of the bodily injury. Minor bodily injuries, which are expressed in bruises or pain, are prosecuted upon complaint by the injured person. The prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Interior have no relation there and some explanation could be sought there".

"The current leadership of the Ministry of Interior fails in critical situations to explain things in such a way as to somehow reduce the tension and manage to convince the public that some things that are happening are extremely inappropriate and they are not happening due to the fault of the Ministry of Interior, because in this case I cannot say that the problem is in the Ministry of Interior", the former Minister of Interior added in an interview for the program "12+3" of the program "Horizont".
