The increase in housing prices since the beginning of the year has been significant, analysts report. In Sofia, the growth is traditionally the strongest - about 20%, and between 12% and 18% is the increase in prices in Varna, Burgas and Plovdiv. Everyone agrees that the rate of increase in prices is “unhealthy”. According to brokers, it will continue until the end of the year, and in total for the whole of 2025 the increase may exceed 25%.
The good news is that in the first quarter of 2026 we will observe a lull in the market. The reason is that we will have already effectively entered the eurozone and there is nothing more to influence the increase in prices. The result of the factor “low interest rates” on mortgage loans is clear and we cannot expect any surprises in the market.
