Today at 11.20 a.m. we received a signal about a burned hut in the land of the village of Gintsi. Three lifeless bodies of male persons were found a short distance from it. We immediately formed operational-investigative groups with colleagues from the General Directorate of the National Police. A burned part of the hut is established on site. This hut is the former "Petrohan" hut, which is currently managed by a private person. The scene is currently still under investigation.
This was stated at a briefing by the head of the Sofia Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs, Senior Commissioner Tihomir Tsenov, who revealed details about the serious incident with three discovered dead bodies in the area of the "Petrohan" hut, quoted by novini.bg.
"The discovered bodies are not charred. At the moment, there is no evidence of gunshots. At a later stage, the investigation will show whether there were gunshots and whether there are other people involved. We assume that the hut was inhabited by the three people. We know that these people lived in the hut. There are gas cylinders inside and it is dangerous to still inspect the inside of the hut itself. At the moment, there are no detainees. I cannot comment on whether there are suspects," he added.
"The hut is located in a difficult-to-access place. Whether there were gunshots or not is yet to be established. The hut itself was burned down. The moment we receive assurances from the fire department that it is safe to enter the hut, we will carry out investigative actions and find out what is inside the hut. We are at the very beginning of the investigation and everything is subject to establishment. At the moment we have no witnesses who were in the hut area. It is also subject to establishment what activity the three were engaged in, whether they had weapons, whether these weapons were legal. At the moment it cannot be established what the cause of the death of the three men is. This is a serious crime. We have three bodies, which is the murder of more than two people. Only a forensic medical examination can prove what the cause of the death of these three people is,", said for her part the head of the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office, Hristina Lulcheva.
