The Belogradchik Rocks will once again be a majestic backdrop for the "Opera of the Peaks" and "Stage of the Peaks" fest

The organizers are planning a richer program than ever before - a total of 18 titles, including opera and ballet, concert performances, operettas and musicals, theater productions, brass and symphony orchestras, rock and pop music

For another year, one of the most beloved and bizarre natural phenomena in Bulgaria - the Belogradchik Rocks, will become a majestic backdrop and an attractive summer stage under the open sky for two major festivals of national scale - the 11th edition of the „Opera of the Peaks“ and the second edition of the „Stage of the Peaks“.

The festivals are part of the cultural calendar of Belogradchik. They will take place in the period July 3 - September 5, 2026, and will bring together young and established talents - musicians, performers, soloists, orchestras, choirs and actors, who for another year will turn the phenomenal Belogradchik Rocks into a magnetic open-air scene.

Organizer of „Opera of the Peaks“ and „Scene of the Peaks“ is Free Media Group in partnership with the State Opera - Ruse and the National Music Theater “Stefan Makedonski”. The two festivals are held with the assistance of the Belogradchik Municipality and with the exclusive support of Electrohold. Other partners are Euroins, China Motor Company (representative of Dongfeng, BYD, Hongqi), Hotel “Skalite”, Wine Cellar “Magura“ and FastPay. With a rich program of performances and established names on the music and theater scene, the organizer has the ambition for the two festivals to once again stand out as one of the most impressive and large-scale cultural events in Bulgaria.

The cycle of live performances will begin on July 3 with the concert-performance „The Waltz King“ to music by Johann Strauss Jr., and will be presented on July 4 the new musical “Hello, how are you, friend” by Stefan Diomov. In the program also included are the operas by Giacomo Puccini - „Tosca“ and „Madame Butterfly“, by Mozart - “The Marriage of Figaro“, the ballet to music by Georges Bizet - „Carmen“, as well as the legendary musical “Cabaret” by John Kander. The operetta will also be presented on the stage of the rocks this year „Countess Maritza“.

Among the most anticipated events is the concert-performance „Live on Broadway“ with Raffi Bohosyan, who will transport the audience to the world of great musicals with performances of “The Lion King“, “Ah, this Jazz“, “Hair“, “Beauty and the Beast“, “The Phantom of the Opera“, “Mamma Mia!“ and other world hits.

The theater program offers no less attractive titles – from the emotional comedy-drama play „I'll stay for a while“ with the participation of Gerasim Gerasimov-Gero and Stefania Koleva, through the impressive one-man show „Chamkoria“ by director Yavor Gardev with the participation of Zahari Baharov, to
the hit comedies „Friday Night“ with Filip Bukov and „Desperate Housewives 2“: Married“ with Vlado Zombori, which guarantee lots of laughter, good mood and unforgettable emotions.

„Scene of the Peaks“ will bring together iconic rock bands such as Tangra, which has a special place in the heart of Belogradchik with its eternal hit - “Our Town“, has become the city's official anthem, as well as the legends from BTR, who will take the stage together with symphony orchestra. A folklore festival with free admission will welcome the audience on August 7 and 8, and the finale of the
festival will be performed by the Montana brass band „Mont Music“ on the eve of Unification Day. Tickets for the performances from the program of both festivals are already on sale.

„Opera on the Peaks“ and „Stage of the Peaks“ establish Belogradchik as a
leading cultural destination in Bulgaria, combining natural heritage with
