Auto parts dealer Frank Stronach is one of the richest in the country

Canadian billionaire of Austrian origin Frank Stronach, who became one of the richest people in Canada from supplies of auto parts, was arrested on allegations of sexual abuse spanning decades, the Associated Press reported, citing BTA, citing a police statement.

The 91-year-old man was charged that day with five offences, including rape, indecent assault on a woman, sexual assault and forcible imprisonment, Peel police in the Canadian metropolis of Toronto said. Stronach has been released on bail and is due to appear in court in Brampton, Ontario at a later date, police said in a statement.

The suspect has not yet responded to The Associated Press' request for comment.
