Journalist Ralitsa Ficheva expects less fragmentation in the next National Assembly after Rumen Radev's appearance on the political scene. She commented on the resignation of the president and the reactions of the main political parties to the Bulgarian National Radio.

"The final effect will be that this parliament will probably not be so fragmented after the next elections. The smaller parties in the National Assembly at the moment - a large part of them - are not excluded from being absorbed or their electorate will be redirected to Radev's party and they will drop out of parliament" .

This circus around the "shattering" of the Electoral Code may also refuse the few who have just been tempted to participate in the electoral process, she believes, and warned that the outcome of this will largely determine voter turnout.

For her, the reaction of GERB leader Boyko Borisov was not surprising:

"Over the years, he has shown his flexibility in dealing with different situations. He has never stopped cooperating with Radev. Borisov managed to clear Radev's path to the presidential institution, nominating candidates who were not strong both times. Borisov continues with this strategy. There are two other ideas behind his move. On the one hand, he may try, with Radev's help, to free himself from Peevski's dead grip and, together with Radev, form a common front against him. It is also possible that Borisov's move is due to his attempt to control some electoral damage in advance. Borisov's move may be aimed at precisely this - on the one hand, a possible partnership, and on the other hand, controlling some electoral damage.

According to her, however, Delyan Peevski's silence is quite surprising:

"His silence may be due to the realization that any opposition to Radev at the moment, especially from Peevski, could pour even more support for Radev. It could be a strategic move in which Peevski can see exactly where and how to position himself. We cannot talk about a future partnership. Here it is clear that Radev is an opponent of Peevski."

In the program "Politically Incorrect" Ficheva noted that Radev tried to ride the wave of protests and openly stated that he was counting on the support of young people. However, Peevski is definitely trying to demonstrate that Radev is not the only one who has support, she added.

The journalist expressed the opinion that interaction between Radev and PP-DB could be fatal for the coalition, especially if such a request is made now. According to her, this would be quite serious electoral damage for PP-DB and especially for DB.

"DB's electorate is much more negatively disposed towards Radev. If there are preliminary requests now, it is not ruled out that this will lead to an outflow of voters, especially from "Democratic Bulgaria"", she was categorical.

In her words, this would not be fair to the voters, but it may be the only opportunity for PP to get out of the isolation it is currently in:

"With the current formations in the National Assembly, they have no partners. This may help in the future, at least in fulfilling the goals of judicial reform, but how it will affect the future is debatable".

Ficheva also emphasized that the divisions in the BSP are already becoming more and more clearly visible. The BSP and ITN will suffer the most from Radev's appearance, she believes. According to her, if the BSP takes a position against Radev, it is possible to completely disappear in the future.

"The youth in the BSP realize that it is not a good idea to turn Radev into their enemy at the moment".

In her words, if the BSP agrees to partner with Rumen Radev, it is more likely that Radev will absorb the party, but this gives future life to some of the representatives of this party.
